Required from April 2021, a well-qualified temporary part time Teacher of Spanish for a maternity cover post.

We need a strong candidate who can work Monday to Wednesday in this 0.60FTE role, teaching KS3 and KS4 Spanish. The ability to teach French or German up to KS3 would be an advantage.

The Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Faculty comprises 3 full-time and 5 part-time teachers, who teach at least two languages (one up to GCSE/A level). Members of the Faculty share a common approach to the teaching of all aspects of the subject and teamwork is an important feature of the Faculty.

Darrick Wood is an oversubscribed and successful 11-18 ten form entry mixed comprehensive, housed in modern buildings on an attractive site in a pleasant catchment area. The School consistently achieves excellent results, was judged to be ‘good’ in all areas in its OFSTED inspection in January 2019 and is a designated Teaching School. The School was awarded the World Class Schools Quality Mark in 2015 and again in 2018. The School provides excellent opportunities for career development and a full support programme for all new staff.
